We’re on the lookout for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect who can bring both expertise and flair to a growing architecture team within a prestigious educational institution. From assessing existing infrastructure to planning complex cloud migrations, your technical leadership will influence strategic decisions and directly support the institution's evolving digital direction.

The Person

You’ll be a natural collaborator who brings people along for the ride – whether it’s business stakeholders, your fellow architects, or wider IT Services teams. You know your stuff technically, but you're just as comfortable building relationships, guiding decisions, and translating complex ideas into outcomes.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A tertiary qualification in IT (or extensive equivalent experience).
• Industry-recognised certification in IT architecture (practitioner level).
• 5+ years’ experience in architecture roles, with strong infrastructure and cloud capability.
• Experience planning and executing cloud migrations with minimal disruption.
• Knowledge of governance, reference architectures, and best practice frameworks.
• Familiarity with the challenges facing IT in the public or education sector (a bonus!).

This is a full-time role, with Palmerston North as the preferred location. We’ll consider Wellington-based applicants too, but some regular travel to Palmerston North will be expected.
