The role
Upper Echelon have an opportunity available at Director level with our clients Cyber Security practice, where you'll have responsibility for the successful delivery of engagements and management of staff and client relationships. You'll also contribute to the growth of the business through identification of new business development.
Plan, manage and deliver cyber security advisory and assurance, manage Internal/External Stakeholder relationships, carry out strategic business development, set the bar through the quality of your work, expertise and judgement as well as innovative approaches.
The Team
A multi-disciplinary team that operates in an exciting and constantly changing environment. This specialist team offers a broad range of services to support their clients by helping manage and respond to constantly evolving cyber threats.
Strategy and governance - Virtual CISO on Demand, compliance assessments (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Transformation - security program delivery, security architecture design and review identity and access management, Governance, Risk and Compliance.
Cyber defence - penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, cloud security services,disaster recovery and business continuity. Insider threat services, security analytics, IoT security services
Cyber response - Threat hunting, cyber response maturity assessments, incident response, threat intelligence

- To be successful in this role, you'll have a broad background in cyber security including technical and non-technical skills.
- Ideally candidates with experience protecting industrial control systems (ICS) in critical infrastructure.

What we look for in your CV
- Strong experience in Security Architecture/Agile Security
- Defined examples of where you have won work and been part of leading the pre sales/ sales and implementation of work.
- Broad practical experience in helping organisations manage their cyber security risk
- A relevant tertiary qualification and professional qualifications e.g. CISSP, SABSA Chartered Security Architect, CISM.
- People management, sometimes across reporting lines.
- Strong business acumen, and commercial ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance revenue.
- Excellent soft skills, with an ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A positive attitude with an innate desire to deliver best results.
- A good understanding of industrial control systems (ICS)
- Distributed control system (DCS) and supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) architecture and the role of common system components
- Understanding of ICS design considerations
- Knowledge of IT and OT security best practices and understanding of the differences!
- Preparation, review, and maintenance of documents, policies, and standards.
