The Role
As a Cyber Security Specialist (Intelligence & Investigations), you will be responsible for:
- Conducting intelligence analysis to identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
- Performing investigations into security incidents, breaches, and unauthorised access attempts.
- Gathering and analysing evidence, logs, and other relevant data to determine the nature and extent of security incidents.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate incident response activities.
- Providing recommendations and implementing measures to prevent future security incidents.
- Monitoring and analysing network traffic, logs, and security events to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Developing and maintaining intelligence reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, SANS) are a plus.
- Proven experience in the field of cybersecurity, with a focus on intelligence analysis and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with cyber threat landscape, attack vectors, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Experience with digital forensics, incident response, and log analysis.
- Proficiency in using security monitoring and analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify patterns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
