Upper Echelon is seeking a junior to intermediate level Data engineer to join and grow with a solid data engineering consulting firm based in Auckland. 

With hundreds of projects completed across New Zealand and a client list in every major sector, this is a role to learn from the experts, and in varied industries and varied data technologies. 

The role

Diverse consulting role working with medium to large clients, mainly as part of a team until you get a bit more on the senior side. Fun team with very very low turnover of staff. You will be provided training and certifications where appropriate to help you advance on the path in your data engineering career. 

What we are looking for

  • Someone who has a data engineering background - we aren’t wedded to the technology, but you must demonstrate that you know the principles of data engineering and have some experience at an medium to enterprise level. 
  • The ability to improvise, overcome and adapt to provide a data engineering solution, sometimes with vague and unclear instructions. 
  • You must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and your team internally. 
  • Show you understand and can create an ELT process.
  • Some experience with dashboards and analytics would be good. 
  • Python, SQL.

This is a permanent role based in the head office in Auckland. Paying up to $110,000 per annum with room for good growth in the future.
