Salesforce Lead Functional Consultant
- Wellington preferred, Auckland may be considered
- July start ideal (negotiable)
- Salary likely around $160k base (open to discussions)
- Consulting / project delivery environment
If you want a role where you’re not just capturing requirements, but actually shaping how Salesforce solutions are designed and delivered, this could be worth a look.
This is a proper lead-level functional consulting role, working across Salesforce project delivery. You’ll be close to the client, close to the solution, and close to the team doing the build.
You’ll take the lead on requirements, solution design and functional translation, helping turn business needs into clear, workable Salesforce outcomes. You’ll also guide the people delivering the build, making sure the project team has direction, clarity and momentum.
What you’ll be doing...
You’ll lead the functional streams within Salesforce projects, working closely with Delivery Leads / Engagement Managers and the wider project squad. That means running and navigating requirements conversations, shaping solution design, translating complexity into something the team can build, and helping keep delivery moving in the right direction. You’ll also be involved in squad planning, resourcing, RAID management and the general moving parts that come with leading delivery properly.
What you’ll bring...
- Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Salesforce Functional Consultant
- Confidence leading requirements, workshops and solution design
- Experience guiding consultants, admins or developers through delivery
- Strong Salesforce experience across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud
- Consulting or project delivery experience
- Public Sector Solutions, Financial Services Cloud or Revenue Cloud experience would be useful, but not essential
This role will suit someone who enjoys being the person others look to when the requirements are messy, the project needs direction, or the team needs a clear path forward.
