This is no ordinary graduate/junior role. This company is on a mission to become the first NZ AAAS partner. Do not pass this opportunity by.
Upper Echelon is seeking a graduate/junior Data engineer for a data and analytics company that is New Zealand’s first AAAS (Analytics as a Service) partner.
The company provides a mix of product analytics to SME firms and consulting to enterprise firms predominately in the government space.
The role
To start with this will be a junior consulting role and you will need problem solving skills alongside a good communication ability to be able to understand analytical use cases within organisations.
Meet and develop the current data landscape of the client base, pain points and business purposes.
Develop within the team a solution design to solve the problem using Microsoft Azure and related tools.
Build data pipelines and data streams using Azure.
Support the ongoing planning and implementation of Azure, then providing documentation in partnership with the architecture team.
Provide ongoing support to clients, trouble-shoot issues and engage with Microsoft Support to resolve issues.
What we are looking for
6 months hands on experience with Azure products preferably data analytics.
Knowledge of github and Devops (CI/CD pipelines)
Knowledge of T-SQL and knowledge of SQL Server
Communication skills are key. I’m more interested in this and a problem solving mind than the technical skills that can be taught.
The Company
The management are very experienced leaders in the data field in NZ. They have been providing innovative solutions to enterprise organisations for over 20 years.
This is an early stage company currently and joining now means you will be growing with the company (and once you see their solution you will understand this company will grow).
There is a salary of up to $75,000 per annum for this role, with a good work life balance and mentorship available.
The company will provide full training and certifications. Overseas candidates are welcome as the company is an accredited AEWV employer.
Upper Echelon also welcomes and encourages applications from anybody irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation and disability status.
