A full time, permanent position based in Hamilton with the possibility of being fully remote for the right candidate. Hamilton is an area rapidly becoming one of the major tech hubs of New Zealand! Being just outside Auckland, Hamilton enjoys the low house prices while still having a relatively short commute to Auckland and Tauranga.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent Python skills
- Qualifications in software development or computer science
- Comfortable with Unix command line / Shell script programming
- Solid experience with version control (Git) and code repository/release management
- It is also essential that you have a great command of the English language in both written and verbal form.
What you could learn (and it would be a bonus if you already had some exposure)
- Sequence analysis and/or microarray data analysis tools and algorithms
- Data science experience (Jupyter / RStudio)
- Applied mathematics, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, optimization algorithms, and bioinformatics experience
