The role

Upper Echelon are looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst on behalf of our client to join a hardworking, high performing Information Security team. The Senior Security Analyst will bring the best of this company’s operating standards for Information Security from other regions and countries including Australia, UK and Asia. Deliver consultancy to existing and new customers in line with the best practices.

• Operational support of customer servers and applications including proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and performing standard and non-standard changes
• Ensure smooth and efficient customer operations, maximising customer satisfaction
• Active monitoring of change and incident queues and attend service calls and answer queries from customers and management within SLA’s
• Build, review and implement changes following the Change Management process
• Submit reports for incidents, alerts, Service Requests and changes
• Perform user and system security tasks.
• Conduct and remediate system health checks.

The person 

A proactive Information Security professional, up to date with the latest developments and innovations in their area of speciality. In your CV we will be looking for -

• 5 or more years experience in Security Operations or IT Security Project delivery
• ITIL Service Delivery and Service Management to foundation level
• Experience in supporting multiple successful security system installations, proposal or projects in a relevant IT technical environment
• IT security assessments and driving remedial action plans
• Experience managing IT security audits delivered by external auditors and representing professionally such that minimal risk reported
• Managing staff in technical delivery roles
• Able to deliver support services to customers or internal teams
• Able to work under self-direction as required to complete duties and deliver services
• Soft skills and a customer centric approach
• Analytical skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• ISO 27001/2 security framework
• Knowledge of NZ Government Security Standards (NZISM, PSR)
• Generalist certifications (CISSP, CISA, SANS etc)
• Windows Operating Systems
• MCSE - Cisco Networking and Firewalls
• Checkpoint Firewalls
• Active Directory and related security and access control tools

Vax Policy

Government legislation may impose a requirement that certain workers be vaccinated against COVID-19 (or otherwise have a valid exemption).
