Upper Echelon has an opportunity for a motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join a small self-sustainable team within a well known cyber security company. This Kiwi success story provides protection to its customer's websites and applications through unique, advanced cyber security defences.
If you have a good attitude, a desire to learn, and want to work with a wide range of technologies in modern architecture, then this is the role for you.
The Role
As Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing infrastructure solutions and building and maintaining core infrastructure components in the managed data centres, in the cloud and on-premise.
You'll be working alongside internal teams and customers to ensure a smooth on boarding process and continued support for customers.
Finally, you’ll be keen to automate anything that moves!
The Person
You’ll have some industry experience as an Infrastructure Engineer and some knowledge in some the areas listed below. But don’t worry, we don’t expect you to know everything on the list, the drive to learn along with full training will be provided.
Creating advanced cyber defences for websites and web applications, this company is fast growing and becoming well recognised internationally. Their advanced solutions are designed to ensure application compatibility, provide DDoS and common web vulnerability protection, and target 100% vulnerability mitigation. - Networking stack - layers 1 – 7
- OWASP top ten and common web vulnerabilities
- Network routing, switching, Firewall and VPN technologies
- Cloud solutions - Google, AWS, SoftLayer, Azure
- Exposure to some of the following - JUNOS, VyOS, ESXi, Kubernetes, Docker, MacOS, Ubuntu, Ansible, Puppet
- Programming and scripting in Linux
- WAF solutions
- SSL Transport layer and cryptography
- Web scanner tools - BURP, Nexpose, nmap
