Responsibilities
As the IT & Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Driving the upkeep of practical information security procedures to support the successful and efficient management of infrastructure, network, and IT services.
- Put in place tools for network analysis, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Monitoring both internal and external security platforms, looking into alarms generated by those platforms, and, if necessary, undertaking root cause investigation.
- Using a continuous improvement methodology to manage access, security configuration, network security policy, backup and disaster recovery procedures, on IT security platforms
- Establishing and maintaining a zero-trust security framework for use by remote workers, WFH devices, internal networks, and production systems.
- Assuring a uniform privacy and data security posture across the company’s corporate IT and worldwide production infrastructure, working with the CISO, CTO, and DevOps engineers.
- Maintain procedures for ensuring information security compliance, including system audits, reporting requirements, and internal and external penetration tests.
- Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions.
- Collaborating with the sales, support, and success teams to address inquiries from clients and potential clients on our information security procedures.

What you’ll bring
- Experience in managing modern IT environments; hybrid cloud infrastructure, remote personnel, and a Microsoft Windows-based IT network.
- Hands-on experience with cloud solutions such as Microsoft 365, Google, Azure, and AWS.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools like DataDog, incident management systems like PagerDuty, and SIEM technology like Microsoft Sentinel.
- Working knowledge of MDM tools like Intune for controlling business IT devices.
- Good knowledge of core cyber security concepts and best practices including IAM, logging and monitoring, infrastructure/cloud security, vulnerability management, infrastructure as code, and security by design. Experience with the use of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, NZISM, CIS, GDPR or other standards and frameworks
