Upper Echelon has a unique opportunity to take your cyber career to the next level in the role of Application Security Developer within a successful Kiwi company that is expanding overseas.
The role
As Application Security Developer, you will be working directly with clients, responsible for analysing customer vulnerabilities, understanding real and potential security threats, and developing effective shields to mitigate these vulnerabilities.
You’ll be a part of a close-knit team, collaborating with the Development Manager in developing and executing on future strategy and cross-training other teams to keep them up to date with the latest product developments and technologies.
You
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a development background and a passion for cybersecurity. The company is committed to providing full training for the successful candidate, we are keen to hear from you if you have a combination of the following skills:

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a development background and a passion for cybersecurity. The company is committed to providing full training for the successful candidate, we are keen to hear from you if you have a combination of the following skills:
- Penetration testing skills particularly in the web application space.
- Knowledge of OWASP top ten and common web vulnerabilities.
- Experience and knowledge of the networking stack (layers 2-7).
- Programming / Scripting experience (preferably python, ruby and elixir)
- Experience with web scanner tools.
Knowledge of F5 would be a bonus!
