The Role

We have an opportunity for a talented Software Engineer with expertise in C language and embedded systems to join a global telecommunications company in their New Zealand Engineering team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be working in an Agile environment on projects with a highly experienced and collaborative team playing a crucial role in the full software development lifecycle. From requirements analysis and specification to software design, coding, integration, testing, and maintenance.

The Person

Ideally, you’ll have experience in the telecommunications or networking domain and have a proven track record in C language proficiency and a sound understanding of software development principles. You should be well-versed in microprocessors, networking protocols, and the Linux operating system. Your expertise in embedded software development and strong analytical and design skills will be highly valued.

The Skills

• Proficiency in C language
• Solid understanding of software development practices
• Knowledge of microprocessors
• Familiarity with networking communications and protocols
• Proficiency in the Linux operating system
• Experience in embedded software development
• Strong analysis and design skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for documentation
• Skilled in the use of test equipment such as protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, logic analyzers, emulators, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving and analysis skills
