Upper Echelon has an opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer to thrive in an exciting company that provides cutting edge cybersecurity solutions to the supply chain and industrial automation sectors. 

The role

Working with a great team, you’ll help to improve the reliability of the systems today, while also improving it as it grows over time. Site reliability engineering results highly rely on high-quality software engineering practices. You’ll employ SRE best practices to help identify and measure faults and uncertainties in the system and enable engineers to reason the reliability of the software. 

Responsibilities:
  • Improve and monitor our appliance monitoring system 
  • Help shape, build and maintain our automated provisioning and deployment systems
  • Define service-level objectives Like An End-User
  • Learning from failures with SRE mitigates gaps essential to be addressed to improve overall performance and reliability
  • Doing everything to eliminate redundancy. SRE promotes automation early on
  • Analyse changes holistically, understand the cause of the change and its impact on other systems and processes

Requirements:
  • A keen eye for site reliability best practices
  • Metrics collection and display (Prometheus/Cortex, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)  
  • Experience with Ansible  
  • Debian preseed, packaging and debhelper  
  • Network engineering experience
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure  
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives  
  • Basic security concepts like Least permission, & Zero-trust Architecture
